Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Assess patients, record and communicate their condition, and carry out physician and nursing orders. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care and discharge planning. Maintain current BLS and Advanced Life Support certifications as required. Work full-time nights in three 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. or on a PRN basis.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
