Job Summary
Collaborate with the Remote Triage team or deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to families during after-hours on an on-call basis. Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly, administer medication based on provider orders, and communicate with physicians regarding condition changes. Provide guidance to patients and families on current conditions and next steps, pronounce death if necessary, and complete timely documentation. Work overnight shifts from Friday to Monday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM, in Carson City, NV.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current licensure to practice in state of operation
- One year nursing experience
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years nursing experience
- Experience in hospice or a similar setting
- Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
- Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
