RN / Registered Nurse - Hospice, On-Call

Job Summary
Collaborate with the Remote Triage team or deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to families during after-hours on an on-call basis. Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly, administer medication based on provider orders, and communicate with physicians regarding condition changes. Offer guidance to patients and families on current conditions and next steps, pronounce death if necessary, and complete timely documentation. Requires current RN licensure, one year of nursing experience, and a licensed driver's license. Schedule includes 7 on 7 off rotation from Friday 5p to Monday 8am, followed by M-Th 5pm to 8am.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current licensure to practice in state of operation
- One year nursing experience
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years nursing experience
- Experience in hospice or a similar setting
- Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
- Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
