Job Summary
RN Hospice House position providing hands-on, comfort-focused nursing care in an inpatient hospice setting. Responsibilities include assessing and managing symptoms (especially pain), administering medications, updating care plans, documenting all care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team. Educate families, offer emotional reassurance, and support quality of life and dignity for patients at end of life. Part-time nights, 2-12 hour shifts (7:00pm-7:00am); sign-on bonus of $1,500 paid in two increments at 6 months and 1 year. Requires active KS RN license, ADN or BSN, CPR/BLS, valid driver’s license; preferred hospice/palliative care experience, BSN, EMR experience, CHPN.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (Kansas)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Ability to assess patients and manage symptoms
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
