Job Summary
RN Hospice House: Provide hands-on, comfort-focused nursing care in an inpatient hospice setting. Responsibilities include assessing and managing symptoms (especially pain), administering medications, updating care plans, documenting care, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Educate families and offer emotional reassurance. Works 7:00am-7:00pm on a Full Time schedule. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 paid in two increments (6 months and 1 year). Preferred: hospice/palliative care experience, BSN, EMR experience, CHPN certification. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, retirement plan, and EAP. An equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (Kansas)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Ability to assess patients and manage symptoms
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
