Job Summary
Join Firelands Health as a Registered Nurse in Home Health, providing skilled nursing care to patients in their homes. Responsibilities include performing home care visits, collecting data, implementing the Plan of Care, effective communication with healthcare teams, and promoting continuity of care. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school, possess a current RN license in Ohio, and have BLS/CPR certification. Skills in effective communication, time management, and the ability to work autonomously are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Currently licensed as an RN through the Ohio State Board of Nursing
- BLS/CPR Certification required
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy
- Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request
- Independent decision-making skills and abilities to render nursing care in an independent setting
- Ability to rotate 'On Call' after hours, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software is preferred
- Prior Nursing experience in Hospice or Home Health setting preferred
- At least one year’s medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
