Job Summary
The RN provides individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) and collaborates with residents, families and an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care. Practices within the full scope of nursing knowledge, caring for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe, reliable administration of resident care and addressing care/service concerns. Works within the Nurse Practice Act and applicable state rules; adheres to the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
