Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for residents using the nursing process. Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, provide education, and manage preventative health maintenance and treatment phases. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, providers, families, and delegates to resolve care concerns and ensure safe administration of services. May serve as charge nurse delegating tasks within scope and competence standards. Maintain licensure and department-specific certifications while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work 12 hour day shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
