Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents, coordinating assessments, education, and treatment across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary providers to plan and evaluate care plans while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing expertise. Serve as charge nurse when needed, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure safe resident care. Maintain licensure in the state of practice and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
