Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement interventions across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care, while serving as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing practice as designated in the assigned clinical setting. This full-time weekend role at GSS SD Desmet Ctr in De Smet, SD offers 12-hour day shifts with a weekly schedule of 36 hours and a salary range of $34.00 to $48.00, including a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
