Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, deliver resident education, and manage various nursing interventions for preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Serve as charge nurse by delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
