Job Summary
Conduct individualized nursing care using the nursing process for residents, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate care, perform resident education, and manage preventative health maintenance and treatment phases. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe administration of care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, residents, and families to resolve service concerns and evaluate outcomes. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing practice per the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
