Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement preventative health maintenance for seniors. Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers and families to plan and evaluate care plans while demonstrating competency in age-specific standards. May serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of competence. Ensure safe administration of care and resolve service concerns in alignment with the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
