Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation). Collaborate with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe and reliable administration of resident care. Practice within the Nurse Practice Act and adhere to applicable standards and ethics; coordinate resident care, education, and various nursing interventions across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Requires commitment to the facility’s not-for-profit, faith-informed environment and to quality care for seniors.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA)
- RN license in state of practice or valid multi-state licensure (NLC)
- Current unencumbered RN license
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Drug screen and pre-employment background screening per policy
- Participation in applicable nurse practice acts and standards of practice
