Job Summary
The Registered Nurse provides individualized nursing care to residents in a not-for-profit senior housing facility, employing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care. Collaborates with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to coordinate care, educate residents, and ensure safe, high-quality services. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope and competence; adheres to state nursing practice standards and the organization’s Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
