Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation). Collaborates with residents and families and the inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Cares for residents across preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope and competence. Ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and adherence to Nurse Practice Act and professional ethics; participate in education and coordination of care with emphasis on standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (preferred)
- Unencumbered RN license in state of practice
- Possesses multistate licensure if in NLC state
- Maintains department-specific competencies and certifications
