Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) in a Christian, not-for-profit senior housing setting. Collaborate with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care; may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope of practice; ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and address care/service concerns. Practice within Nursing Practice Act standards and ANA Code of Ethics. Requires RN licensure; BSN preferred; CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA accreditation experience appreciated; benefits include health/dental/vision/life, 401(k), and a sign-on bonus. Night shift, full-time at Good Samaritan facility in De Smet, SD; pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure if in an NLC state
- Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
