Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues and families to coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and deliver education. Serve as charge nurse when needed, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe administration of care. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards within the assigned clinical setting of this 79-bed long-term skilled care facility. Hold an unencumbered Minnesota RN license and work day shifts from 4:00am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for Every Third Weekend and Rotating Holidays
- Must be available for Additional weekend incentive of $1.25 an hour
- Must be available for Additional shift incentive of $1.25 for any hours worked from 6:00pm to 6:00am
- Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure
- Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
