Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, and families to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans. Coordinate resident assessments, education, and nursing interventions while maintaining competency within the full scope of nursing practice. May serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Rules, and American Nurses Association standards. Requires an unencumbered Minnesota RN license, bi-weekly day shift schedule from 4:00am to 4:30pm, and a Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for rotating holidays
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen
- An accepted offer will require a pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
