Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Coordinate care and conduct resident assessments while collaborating with interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care plans. Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within the scope of their competence and support delegates to ensure safe administration of care. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Day shifts run from 4:00am to 4:30pm with a bi-weekly schedule of 72 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for rotating holidays
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen
- An accepted offer will require a pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
