Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and coordinate care while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing expertise. Serve as charge nurse to delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe administration of care and resolution of service concerns. Functions within the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards. Full-time day shift from 4:00am to 4:30pm with bi-weekly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for Every Third Weekend and Rotating Holidays
- Must be available for additional weekend incentive shifts
- Must be available for additional shift incentive hours worked from 6:00pm to 6:00am
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
