Job Summary
Conduct individualized nursing care for residents using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, provide resident education, and execute various nursing interventions while serving as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for rotating holidays
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen
- An accepted offer will require a pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
