Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in the Main Operating Room. Coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs, as well as prolonged standing, walking, and reaching to assist during procedures. Maintain a current RN license and obtain BLS/ACLS certifications within the first year. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
