RN - Registered Nurse - First Assistant - Main Operating Room

Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the Main Operating Room while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires a minimum of one-year perioperative nursing experience, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification within the first year. Full-time 40-hour schedule at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
