Job Summary
Provide perioperative nursing care in the Main Operating Room as a First Assistant. Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Maintain current RN licensure and obtain BLS/ACLS certifications within the first year. Requires minimum one-year perioperative nursing experience and ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout a 40-hour full-time shift. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
