Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the Main Operating Room while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Maintain a current RN license and obtain BLS/ACLS certification within the first year. Requires minimum one-year perioperative nursing experience and the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and perform physical tasks like kneeling and squatting. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
