Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in the Main Operating Room. Coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Maintain a current RN license and meet state board requirements, with BLS/ACLS certification required within the first year. CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification is preferred. This role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and physical movements including kneeling and squatting. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
