Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Maintain BLS Provider certification and current Alabama RN licensure. Work Monday through Friday from 6am to 2pm at UAB St. Vincent's in Birmingham.
Required Qualifications
- Monday- Friday 6am-2pm
- Work Location: UAB ST Vincent's Birmingham
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required
