Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Maintain licensure and certifications including BLS, AALS, and PALS. Full-time day shift (7a-7p) or PRN rotating shifts available at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- PALS Provider obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
- one (1) year of critical care or emergency experience
