Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurses with prior critical care or emergency experience are required. Full-time day shifts or PRN rotating shifts are available. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- PALS Provider obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
- one (1) year of critical care or emergency experience
