Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, assess discharge planning needs, and carry out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Requires BLS, AALS, and PALS certifications within specified timeframes, plus one year of critical care or emergency experience. Full-time day shifts (7a-7p) or PRN rotating shifts (7am-7pm and/or 7pm-7am) available. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- PALS Provider obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
- minimum of one (1) year of critical care or emergency experience
