Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. This role requires BLS, Advanced Life Support, and PALS certification within specific timeframes, along with Alabama licensure and one year of critical care or emergency experience. Full-time day shifts run 7a-7p, with PRN rotating options available 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- PALS Provider obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
- minimum of one (1) year of critical care or emergency experience
