Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures in the operative setting. Perform scrub functions by selecting and handling instruments and supplies, and execute circulating duties including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition. Directly assist the operating physician with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requires BLS certification within 30 days and Advanced Life Support within 180 days. Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing is required prior to hire. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
