Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. Perform scrub and circulating functions, including instrument handling, monitoring patient condition, and managing overall care before, during, and after procedures. Directly assist the operating physician with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for use. Requires BLS certification within 30 days and ACLS within 180 days, plus Alabama RN licensure. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
