Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. Perform scrub functions by selecting and handling instruments and supplies, while executing circulating duties to monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions. Directly assist operating physicians with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requires BLS certification within 30 days and ACLS within 180 days, along with Alabama Board of Nursing licensure. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure at time of hire
