Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Work full-time nights on a 3 x 12-hour shift rotation from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am in the 8-bed CVICU at UAB St. Vincent's East, specializing in post-operative care for CABG and complex cardiovascular surgeries.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
- Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
- Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East
