Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Work full-time nights in three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on an 8-bed unit specializing in post-operative care for patients recovering from coronary artery bypass grafting and other complex cardiovascular surgeries.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
