Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the CVICU for post-operative CABG patients, implementing and monitoring care plans while communicating patient conditions. Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. This 8-bed unit specializes in complex cardiovascular surgeries and advanced cardiac support devices. You will work multiple shifts, including full-time nights from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
