Job Summary
RN Coordinator Cancer Care position in Geisinger Cancer Center Dickson City. Coordinates treatment plans and follow-up care for adult Hematology/Oncology outpatients, serves as a care navigation resource, with responsibilities including patient education, triage, and coordination of services across the continuum of care. Requires 2+ years of nursing experience; chemotherapy/biotherapy competency via certification and ongoing education (OCN) pursued after hours are completed. Role involves pre-visit triage, coordinating referrals (palliative care, psychology, social work), documentation of chemotherapy teaching in EPIC, and collaboration with the care team to ensure adherence to the medical plan. Full-time, 40 hours/week, days shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Education: Nursing program graduate is required; BSN preferred. Certifications: BLS, chemotherapy/biotherapy coursework within 3 months of hire, Pennsylvania RN license, ONCC certification after required hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree-Nursing (Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years-Nursing (Required)
- Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification courses within 3 months of hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
- Oncology Certified Nurse required after completion of required hours
