RN - Registered Nurse Coordinator Bone Marrow Transplant

Coordinate all aspects of bone marrow transplant patient care in collaboration with the transplanting physician and interdisciplinary team. Establish professional rapport with patients, families, and referring physicians while overseeing accurate patient records and data entry for the Bone Marrow Transplant Registry. Manage the transplant process from initial screening through stem cell collection and transplant, ensuring compliance with quality management programs and regulatory standards. Review policies and procedures, provide input on budgetary needs, and act as a patient advocate for reimbursement and billing. Mentor staff, teach care protocols, and ensure completion of all quality improvement documentation. This 40-hour day shift role supports Geisinger's national model for improving health through interdisciplinary collaboration and professional growth.
