Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for 15 telemetry and 8 IMC beds. Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, monitoring and recording patient conditions as appropriate. This role supports UAB St. Vincent's mission of extending personalized care to patients, families, and the community in central Alabama.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
