Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans, then assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. This role covers 15 telemetry and 8 IMC beds at UAB St. Vincent's East, offering full-time day or night shifts with pattern scheduling including one weekend off every fourth weekend.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
