Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit by implementing and monitoring patient care plans while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders in accordance with established protocols. Communicate patient conditions as appropriate to the healthcare team. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification, and a nursing diploma. Full-time shifts available including days, nights, and weekends at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
