Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement preventative health maintenance for long-term and transitional care residents. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, providers, and families to plan, evaluate, and resolve care concerns while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence and maintain competency in age-specific clinical settings. May serve as charge nurse to oversee safe, reliable administration of resident care.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
