Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement preventative measures for all phases of health maintenance and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to plan and evaluate care plans while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing practice. Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel to ensure safe administration of care and resolve service concerns. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, adhering to state Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Requires an unencumbered Minnesota RN license, night shift rotation from 10:00pm to 6:30am, and part-time status of 24 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
