Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement preventative measures for long-term skilled care residents. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care while serving as charge nurse when needed to delegate tasks to assistive personnel. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to state Nurse Practice Act standards and American Nurses Association guidelines. Maintain required department competencies and certifications. Night shift rotation from 10:00pm to 6:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
