Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care while coordinating resident assessments and education. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards per the assigned clinical setting and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
