Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, residents, and families to coordinate care and implement interventions. May serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Night shift rotation from 10:00pm to 6:30am with rotating weekends and holidays. Part-time schedule of 24 hours weekly. Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
