Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and deliver education. May serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel while ensuring safe administration of care. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Shifts are night rotations (10:00pm to 6:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays. This part-time role offers a sign-on bonus and shift incentives within a 79-bed skilled care facility serving seniors in Brainerd, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for Rotating Weekends and Holidays
- Must be available for Night Shifts (10:00pm to 6:30am)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
