Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, families, and delegates to coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and deliver education. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, delegating tasks within scope and ensuring safe administration of care. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Work as a PRN nurse in various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend rotations, with a requirement to work six shifts per month.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available to work 6 shifts per month to include two weekend shifts and holiday rotation
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Good Samaritan has a Drug Free Workplace Policy. An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
